NVPOM meets on the second Thursday of each month (except December, July and August) from 7:30-9:30 p.m. These general meetings are usually held in the Fellowship Hall of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3022 Woodlawn Ave, Falls Church, VA 22042. On occasion, the location and date of the meeting changes for a special event. Please visit the Calendar of Events for a complete listing of upcoming events and details.
Upcoming Meeting Topics
What can I expect from an NVPOM Monthly Meeting?
Meeting topics, invitations and other details are announced on the Big Tent calendar. Recent program topics have included positive discipline, potty training, financial planning, home organization, couponing, and safety.
Members are strongly encouraged to RSVP so that we have adequate food for everyone. If there are not enough RSVPs, a meeting might be postponed or cancelled. Confirmation notices are generally sent via email within 24 hours of a meeting. Please note that in cases of extreme weather, NVPOM might choose to cancel the meeting with less than 24 hours notice if it is potentially unsafe to travel to the meeting or if the meeting facility is unable to accommodate us safely.
The general meeting will start at 7:30pm with club business and announcements, followed by a speaker. Refreshments are served at each meeting.
Can I bring my babies/children to the meetings?
NVPOM meetings are intended for adult members to hear valuable presentations specific to parenting multiples, and to be a break for parents to get out and enjoy camaraderie and emotional support.
As a guideline, we kindly ask that babies and children not attend from 7:30-9:30 p.m. If you choose to bring children to a monthly meeting, we respectfully ask that you leave should they become disruptive. Thank you for your understanding.
